My name is Mr. Dwight Nelson and I am the President of New England Warrior Inc (and a former Marine). We were started in 2006 before my son SSgt Matthew Nelson departed for Iraq with the 1st Battalion, 25th Marines (1/25). I consider myself very fortunate, since my son returned home safely with the Marines from Iraq but, I felt that I needed to do something else so the Memory of all Marines and those Marines and Navy Corpsman, from his unit, who did not return would not be forgotten.
New England Warrior, Inc. is a 501(C)3 Non-Profit Tax Exempt Corporation that supports many charities that support Marines and Veterans. We are also partnering with the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation Inc with Operation Patriot Warrior. We are doing this “In Memory Of”, all Marines and the 10 Marines & 1 Navy Corpsman who served with the 25th Marines who gave it all on their 2006 OIF tour. Originally, we just sent them comfort items while they were deployed to IRAQ but, now we are kicking off “Operation Patriot Warrior”.
Operation Patriot Warrior is a project to purchase, restore and then auction off a fully restored HMMWV, with all proceeds (after expenses) going to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation www.mcsf.org
We need many corporate & private sponsors for this project. We have located a HMMWV for $20,000.00 that we plan on using for “Operation Patriot Warrior” and are looking for as many sponsors as we can get to help us get this project underway.
For corporate sponsors we would be willing to display some of your equipment on the vehicle but, as a minimum we will put your logo on the vehicle and also on vehicle trailer (that we also need) as we take it to Marine and other events as we tell the story behind this project. The vehicle tour could possibly run, one to two years, as we honor the memory of “all” these fallen Marines and Corpsmen. Please help spread the word on what we are doing for these fallen Marines and Corpsmen and contact us if you would like to help.
